Middle school can often be a challenging time for students, as they navigate new social dynamics and try to find their place in the world. But there is a fun and creative way to help them feel more confident and celebrate their friendships - BFF photo sessions!
Our recent photo session with three middle schoolers in Baytown Warf showcased how a simple activity like roller skating and enjoying ice cream with friends can make a big impact on a child's self-worth. The girls were bubbling with joy and laughter and we captured many great moments of them being themselves, enjoying each other's company, and having fun.
During the session, I noticed how the girls were cheering each other on and offering words of encouragement as they skated around the rink. They were also quick to compliment each other on their outfits and hair styles. This kind of positivity and support among friends creates a safe and nurturing environment where children can feel seen, heard, and accepted.
As we went to different locations around Baytown Warf, I saw the girls grow more confident and comfortable in front of the camera. They started posing more confidently, and had fun showing off their unique personalities through different poses and expressions. I could tell that they were proud of themselves and their friendships, which translated into their photos.
